Genuine Fuel Lines (Set of 4) to suit Toyota Hilux / Prado 1KD-FTV Euro 4 & Euro 5
Toyota engineers these genuine fuel lines specifically for 1KD Toyota Hilux and Prado engines to withstand the demanding pressures of common rail diesel injection. This complete set of four 1kd fuel lines is manufactured to OEM specifications for Euro 4 and Euro 5 equipped models. Each line is built to handle the constant pressure cycling and vibration that comes with daily use while maintaining the precise fuel delivery your 1KD-FTV depends on for reliable performance.
Complete kit includes: Cylinder 1 (23701-30060), Cylinder 2 (23702-30060), Cylinder 3 (23703-30060), Cylinder 4 (23704-39055).
Important: Does not fit 2005-2006 models without EGR coolers. Please provide your VIN when ordering or contact our team to confirm fitment.
Vehicle Fitment
Suits Toyota Hilux and Prado fitted with 1KD-FTV diesel engines (Euro 4 and Euro 5 models) from 2006 through to 2015. Not compatible with pre-EGR cooler models.
The Reality of Fuel Line Degradation
High-pressure diesel fuel systems push these lines to their operational limits every time you drive. Operating at pressures exceeding 2000 bar means the internal steel structure endures tremendous stress with every injection cycle. After 120,000-150,000km of service, the steel begins fatiguing from the inside out. This internal breakdown releases microscopic metal particles that your fuel filter cannot capture. These particles travel directly to your injectors where they act as grinding paste on the precision-machined components. External appearance means nothing—fuel lines can look perfect on the outside while deteriorating internally. That's why replacing 1kd injector lines at regular intervals is essential preventative maintenance, not optional servicing.
When Replacement Becomes Critical
Certain situations make fuel line replacement non-negotiable. If you're replacing injectors, fit new lines at the same time. Installing fresh injectors with old fuel lines guarantees premature injector failure from contamination. If you notice fuel weeping at the fittings, visible cracks in the outer layer, or any bulging in the line body, replacement is overdue. These are late-stage symptoms. The internal damage started long before. Age alone is a valid reason for replacement. These 1kd fuel lines have been in service for up to 19 years on some vehicles. The materials degrade over time regardless of kilometres travelled.
Avoiding Common Installation Mistakes
One of the worst things you can do during maintenance is bend fuel lines out of position to access other components. When you need to remove the rocker cover or work around the injectors, disconnect the lines completely rather than flexing them aside. Bending creates stress concentrations that will crack under pressure, causing fuel leaks that are both dangerous and expensive to fix. The extra time spent properly disconnecting lines saves you from roadside failures later.
Always use new copper sealing washers at both ends of each line. Reused washers have been compressed and won't seal properly, leading to pressure loss and potential leaks. Torque each fitting to Toyota's specifications. This isn't something you can do by feel. Over-torquing damages threads and fittings, while under-torquing creates leaks. After installation, prime the system and check for leaks before running the engine under load.
Why a Complete Set Makes Sense
Your 1KD-FTV has four cylinders, which means four 1kd injector lines all experiencing identical wear patterns. If one line has reached the end of its service life, the others are in similar condition. Replacing them as a complete set prevents having to repeat the job when another line fails months later. This kit provides everything needed for a complete replacement in one package.
