Core Returns — How It Works

Returning a core? Please take a moment to read through our Core Return Policy and Procedures. It covers everything you need to know about your core deposit, how to return your old unit, and how to receive your refund. This step helps reduce overall part costs and supports our commitment to sustainable reconditioning practices.

Injector Coding & Setup Support

Fitting one of our Blueprinted fuel injectors or another Common Rail component? Many fuel injectors require coding or a learning procedure during installation. In some cases, this may also apply to pumps and SCVs.

Before installation, make sure you have the correct diagnostic equipment available. If you're unsure whether your injector or pump requires coding — or whether your tools are suitable — please contact us before finalising your purchase. Our technical team will guide you through the process to help you achieve proper setup and long-term performance.

Your time matters. So does accuracy. That’s why we built this tool the way we did.

Blueprinted Injectors & Pumps — Performance You Can Measure

Our Blueprinted range of diesel injectors and pumps isn’t just refurbished. It’s refined.

Each unit goes through a proprietary remanufacturing process in our Wollongong Technology Centre. These fuel injectors are disassembled, inspected, machined, rebuilt, and calibrated to tighter tolerances than OEM. Every flow rate is tested. Every result validated, so you know it’s injecting fuel precisely and functioning properly.

Why does that matter? Because consistent combustion typically delivers better power. Lower emissions. Smoother running. Lower fuel use. Whether you're upgrading a single component or replacing a full set of fuel injectors, our customers, from performance tuners to heavy-duty fleets, see the difference.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a diesel injector?

A diesel injector is a precision-engineered component that delivers fuel into the combustion chamber of a diesel engine. It controls both the timing and the quantity of fuel injected, and plays a huge role in performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions.

  • How do I know if my diesel injectors need replacing?

Common signs that your diesel injectors may need replacing include:

    • Rough idling or misfiring
    • Difficulty starting the engine
    • Loss of power or poor acceleration
    • Excessive smoke from the exhaust
    • Increased fuel consumption
    • Engine warning light on the dashboard

If you notice any of these symptoms, it’s worth having your injectors tested by a qualified diesel technician.

  • Can I drive my diesel with bad injectors?

While it may still be possible to drive, running a diesel engine with faulty injectors is not recommended. Bad injectors can lead to poor performance, increased emissions, and long-term damage to your diesel engine, which may include piston or cylinder wear. In some cases, it may even cause the engine to fail. We highly encourage to have it replaced as soon as possible to prevent costly repairs down the road.

  • How much does it cost to replace a diesel fuel injector?

At Baileys Diesel Group, diesel injectors range in price from $77 AUD to $990 AUD, depending on the make, model, and type of injector required. We stock genuine new, remanufactured, and blueprinted injectors, each tested to meet or exceed OEM specifications. We also have bundles available. All injectors are backed by a warranty and built to deliver reliable, long-term performance. Whether you're replacing a single injector or a full set, our team can help you select the right option for your engine and budget.

  • Can you repair diesel fuel injectors?

Diesel fuel injectors generally can't be repaired in the traditional sense, but they can be remanufactured if they're in structurally good condition. At Baileys Diesel Group, remanufacturing involves complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, replacement of worn parts, and precise recalibration using OEM-compliant equipment. The result is a high-performance injector that meets or exceeds factory standards. If an injector is too damaged or out of tolerance, replacement is often the safest and most reliable option. We offer a full range of remanufactured and blueprinted injectors to suit most applications.

  • What are the symptoms of a bad diesel fuel injector?

Some of the most common symptoms of a bad diesel injector include:

    • Engine misfiring or hesitation
    • Poor fuel economy
    • Hard starts or failure to start
    • Strong fuel odour
    • Black, white, or blue smoke from the exhaust
    • Knocking or unusual engine noises

If left unchecked, bad injectors can significantly contribute to engine wear or failure. This is why early diagnosis is extremely important.

  • What is the life expectancy of a diesel injector?

The lifespan of a diesel injector depends on the fuel quality, maintenance practices, and driving conditions. Generally, injectors last between 100,000 to 150,000 kilometres, although some may last longer with regular servicing and high-quality fuel. Remanufactured or blueprinted injectors from Baileys Diesel Group are built for durability and are tested for long-term reliability.

  • Is it worth replacing diesel injectors?

Of course. Replacing worn or faulty injectors is often well worth the investment. New or remanufactured injectors can restore lost performance, improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and prevent serious engine damage. Many of our customers report noticeable improvements in power and fuel economy immediately after fitting replacement injectors.
